Cookies & browser storage
Updated 26 October 2026
Our shop uses storage needed for sign-in, security, your bag, saved designs and requested site features. The shop code does not add advertising trackers or audience analytics. Aggregate image-performance measurements do not set cookies or identify visitors. We therefore show an information notice, rather than ask you to accept tracking that we do not use.
What is stored
| Storage / provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| tshirt-cart (local storage) | Keeps your bag on this browser. | Until changed or cleared; no automatic browser expiry. |
| tshirt-designs (local storage) | Designs you save locally. | Until deleted or browser storage is cleared. |
| tshirt-catalogue-v6:* (session storage) | Temporary product details, speeding up colour/size selection. Not stock confirmation. | Records become stale after five minutes; session storage ends with the browser session. |
| tshirt-idea-draft (session storage) | Keeps the guided idea and wording you prepared so you can continue after sign-in. | Browser session, or until replaced. |
| tshirt_share_voter (cookie) | Set when you vote on a private comparison. A random identifier lets a later vote replace your earlier preference for that link. Not used for advertising. | 30 days after voting. |
| tshirt-policy-region (session storage) | Remembers the returns region you explicitly choose. | Browser session. |
| tshirt-cookie-notice-v1 (local storage) | Remembers that you dismissed this information notice. | 180 days; expires on the next visit after that period. |
| community-design-choice (legacy session storage) | Older gallery-to-designer handoff. | Removed when read, or when the browser session ends. |
| ChatGPT/Sites and Cloudflare platform storage | Authentication, hosting security and network delivery. | Managed by the platform; session and persistent lifetimes depend on the service. |
| Stripe hosted checkout | Payment security and processing when you leave the shop to pay. | Managed by Stripe on its checkout; see its notice. |
Necessary storage cannot be switched off by a shop preference while keeping those functions working. Browser controls can block or clear it, but doing so may sign you out or remove locally saved designs and bag contents. Clearing browser storage does not delete server-side orders or account records; email us for those requests.
Country suggestion
The hosting service can provide an approximate country from the connection IP address. We use that country code to suggest a returns section, not precise location or behavioural tracking. You can select another country. The automatic suggestion is not saved in browser storage; an explicit selection is remembered for the session.
External services
Fonts and reference images may load from external hosts. Sign-in and Stripe checkout have their own privacy/storage notices. See OpenAI privacy, Cloudflare privacy and Stripe cookies. This notice describes the shop implementation; platform-managed cookies and their lifetimes are controlled by those providers.
We will update this notice and provide any required consent controls before adding optional advertising or analytics storage. Dismissing the current notice is not consent to marketing or future tracking.
For how information is used and your rights, see our privacy policy or email info@tshirt.uk.
Email sign-in session
When you sign in with email, the essential __Host-tshirt_session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. It is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. It contains a random session token, not your password. Sign out or reset your password to revoke email sessions. ChatGPT sign-in is managed separately.
Product preview continuity
When you request a supplier mockup, this browser stores the most recent preview job reference and a hash of the design state so it can resume the same preview. This record contains no artwork image and is not used for advertising.
